Curious George recall issued by Marvel Entertainment
Marvel Entertainment Inc has issued a voluntary recall on almost 200,000 Curious George dolls. The toy company says the plush dolls contained too much lead in their surface paint.
The Curious George dolls were sold form 2005 to 2007 in stores nationwide. The dolls were sold in five different models all with a plastic face. They came with an activity book.

Millions of toys recalled; contain 'date rape' drug

"Millions of Chinese-made toys for children have been pulled from shelves in North America and Australia after scientists found they contain a chemical that converts into a powerful "date rape" drug when ingested.
Two children in the U.S. and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads."

World 'still trusts' Chinese products
"The world still trusts the quality of China's products despite a string of recalls in recent months, a senior Chinese official has said.
"During the first eight months of this year, China's exports grew by 23.3 percent, which shows that our exports have not been hit by these recalls," said Wei Chuanzhong, vice-minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ)."
